A Fund of Funds is an investment vehicle that allocates capital across a diversified portfolio of underlying funds, primarily investing in Private Equity, Private Debt, and Venture Capital funds, rather than making direct investments in companies.
Venture capital is one of three asset classes Jada currently invests in, alongside private equity and private debt. Typically, venture capital funding is provided to early-stage, high-growth startups in exchange for equity.
In Saudi Arabia, VC funding is critical to advancing key Vision 2030 goals like diversifying the economy beyond oil, fostering entrepreneurship, and enabling SMEs to grow into competitive businesses.
Jada does not directly invest in any startups. Jada invests in venture capital, private equity, and private debt funds, which in turn, allocate their capital to startups. Jada is unfortunately unable to discuss investments or fundraising related matters pertaining to your company unless you are already working with one of our portfolio funds. You can learn more about the funds Jada has invested in here.
Jada is a privately held company established and wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). As such, our investment capital comes directly from the PIF.

Private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) are both forms of alternative investments that involve investing in private companies. However, they differ mainly in the stage of investment, risk level, and investment approach.
Private equity typically invests in mature, established companies, often acquiring significant or controlling stakes to improve operations and drive value creation.
In contrast, venture capital focuses on early-stage startups, which have higher growth potential but also carry higher risk due to their early development stage.
Research, analysis, and due diligence are undertaken before a deal is finalized. However, determining the investability of a fund is based on the main criteria:
- The fund's commitment to supporting Saudi SMEs
- The fund's contribution to the ongoing development of the private capital landscape in Saudi Arabia
- The fund's discipline, oversight and risk management approach
- The fund's adherence to international best practice.
